August 2025
August heat is no joke, but that doesn’t slow us down at Legacy Built! This month, we’re wrapping up outdoor builds like decks, patios, and porches so families can enjoy those final weeks of summer in style. We’re also using the early mornings and cooler evenings to stay productive on siding projects, door installations, and final roofing work before the fall weather rolls in. If your home still needs exterior upgrades or repairs, now’s the time to lock them in—our fall calendar is already filling up fast.
We’re also starting consultations for fall renovations, including window replacements and weatherproofing. The goal? Getting your home sealed and secure before colder air makes its way in. If you're thinking of a fall kitchen or bath remodel, we can get the design and scheduling underway now so work begins right as the leaves start to turn.
And with back-to-school season right around the corner, here are some creative ways to make August fun for the whole family:
August Family Ideas
Back-to-School Countdown Chain
Make a paper chain where each link includes a small daily activity or message. It helps kids transition back to school with fun anticipation!
Summer Memory Scrapbook
Let the kids gather ticket stubs, photos, and drawings from their summer adventures. It’s a great way to reflect and wrap up the season.
DIY Homework Station
Set up a corner with supplies, bins, and motivational quotes. Let the kids help decorate it so it feels personal and exciting.
Water Balloon Target Game
Beat the heat by setting up a target board outside—kids toss water balloons and score points for hits. Cool and competitive fun!
Night Before School Camp-In
Have a living room “camp out” the night before school starts—sleeping bags, storytime, and a big pancake breakfast the next morning!
Here’s to enjoying every last drop of summer—and preparing for a strong, smooth transition into fall.
