January 2025
Happy New Year from all of us at Legacy Built! As we roll into January, we’re kicking off the year with a fresh mindset and a full calendar of interior projects. The start of the year is a great time to make good on those “new year, new home” resolutions—whether it’s tackling that long-awaited kitchen renovation, converting a basement into usable space, or upgrading doors and trim for a more finished feel. With the ground frozen and snow still falling, our crews are focused on indoor work that keeps your home warm, stylish, and efficient through the winter months.
We’re also using this time to schedule consultations and begin drafting custom blueprints for spring and summer decks, patios, and additions. Booking now ensures your project will be first in line once the ground thaws and outdoor construction season is back in full swing!
Looking for a fun way to beat the winter blues? Try out a few of these family-friendly winter activities to cozy up your January weekends:
January Home Activities
Snow Ice Cream
Mix fresh (clean!) snow with condensed milk and vanilla extract for a quick and magical winter treat. Add sprinkles or syrup for extra fun.
Indoor Fort Challenge
Grab some blankets, couch cushions, and flashlights to create an epic living room fort. Bonus points for hosting a movie night or story time inside!
DIY Snowflake Window Clings
Using white puff paint or hot glue on wax paper, make fun snowflake designs. Let them dry and then peel and stick them to windows for wintery flair.
Hot Cocoa Bar
Set up a DIY hot cocoa station with marshmallows, whipped cream, candy canes, and chocolate chips. Perfect for snow days or chilly evenings.
New Year Memory Jar
Start a family tradition by writing down happy moments from each week and placing them in a jar. Read them together at the end of the year!
Cheers to new beginnings, big dreams, and building beautiful things together. Let’s make 2025 your home’s best year yet.
